Executive Order from Governor’s Office

Bridgton Public Library is closed to the public until at least April 30th, in compliance with the Governor’s Stay at Home Executive Order issued yesterday.

Our online resources will still be available, but the demand is going to be much greater, so technical difficulties should be expected. Maine State Library, cloudLibrary, and the Digital Maine online databases are all working hard and doing the best they can to support this huge increase in demand, so please be patient.

All items currently checked out from our collection will be automatically renewed through April 30, and beyond if required, until it is deemed safe to re-open some levels of service. You can submit Hold and Purchase Suggestion requests through our online catalog:  Bridgton Online Catalog and we will get them ready for you as soon as we can. Please call or email if you need a user name and password to access your account online.

We will continue to check our phone messages and have set up a new email account for any reference questions you may have:  bplreference@bridgton.lib.me.us. These will be checked by our staff during our normal hours of operation starting Tuesday April 7th.

Please do your best to stay at home, and we will do our best to provide information, education, and recreation resources in a safe and welcoming environment. You all matter to us, so please take care.
