There is a lot going on in the world, and in our own backyards, but it is REALLY important to complete the Census 2020!  The online survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete. Please answer your household survey today. https://2020census.gov/en/ways-to-respond.html

Read ME is a statewide summer reading experience presented by the 
Maine Humanities Council and Maine State Library. Each year a well-known Maine author recommends two titles by lesser-known Maine authors to be featured in libraries across Maine. 
 
Tune in to Maine Public FRIDAY, JULY 17, 2020 AT 1 PM – 2 PM
for a special episode of Maine Calling featuring this year’s Read ME authors — Lily King, Jaed Coffin (Roughhouse Friday), and Patricia O’Donnell (The Vigilance of Stars).

Book Groups
  • Towards the end of the summer season, Maine State Library and Maine Humanities Council will offer a facilitated virtual book discussion for each of the featured books, open to all participating libraries.
