Join us on Friday, October 31 at 1:00 PM for a guided tour through one of Bridgton’s oldest and most storied burial grounds, the South Bridgton Cemetery (Adams Pond Yard). Together, we’ll uncover the fascinating lives and legacies of the people who helped shape South Bridgton’s early community.
Explore Local History Up Close
This year’s tour will once again be led by local historian Mike Davis, who has spent decades researching Bridgton’s past and sharing its stories. In partnership with the Bridgton Public Library, Mike will guide visitors through the headstones, telling the tales of early settlers, local veterans, and notable figures whose names still echo through town history.
The Adams Pond Yard (Est. 1811)—surrounded by forest and filled with centuries-old stones—offers a peaceful setting to reflect on the town’s enduring heritage. Each marker tells a story of the people who lived, worked, and built the foundations of this community more than two hundred years ago.
