We are always listening to your suggestions and working to improve our collection. Whether it is a bestseller or a classic, we are adding to all of our collections for your reading pleasure. We know that sometimes you want to be challenged, sometimes you want to relax, sometimes you want to talk with others about something great that you read.
Please use our online catalog (http://koha.bridgton.lib.me.us) to make a Purchase Suggestion, whether you have just read something amazing or want to read something you heard about. Just sign in to your account and find the tab on the left-hand side that says “Purchase suggestion,” and let us know as much as you can about the book you recommend. You might be surprised at how many requests we get for books people heard about on a radio show; even if you only have the day you heard it and the show you were listening to we can probably find out the rest! And of course, feel free to just stop by our circulation desks and talk with one of our helpful staff or volunteers, and we will put in the request for you.
We can’t always purchase all of the requests, we are limited by shelf space and budget. If we can’t get the title for our collection we will request it through Interlibrary Loan, a free service we offer all of our patrons. If we do purchase it, your name will go on the Hold list. Either way, we will give you a call when we have it ready for pickup.
In the meantime, here are some titles you might enjoy:
