Nature Journaling at BPL

Get to know your neighbors! There are more than 1,500 native plant species in Maine. Join us for youth nature journaling at the library Friday, June 24th at 11:00 am.

If you are an adult and would like to know more about nature journaling, please give us a call (207-647-2472), email us (bplreference@bridgton.lib.me.us), or stop by and let us know. We’ll get something scheduled as soon as we can!

Some things to add to your calendar

Some things to add to your calendar

We have some great things planned for July!

It wouldn’t be summer in Bridgton without the annual 4 on the Fourth road race on Monday, July 4th starting at 8am. It’s not too late to register for this community-wide event. Ninety percent of the proceeds benefit Bridgton Public Library, the remainder goes to other local nonprofits. Thank you to the 4 on the Fourth organization for their time and work to make this annual event possible.

The Friends of Bridgton Library will be holding their annual book sale on Saturday, July 16th, 9am-2pm by the Book Shed at the end of our parking lot. Our shed is full of quality book donations just waiting to find a new home. Rain date is Sunday, July 17th.

We will be hosting author Phuc Tran here as part of the statewide Read ME program on Tuesday, July 19th, 7-8pm. This is brought to you by the Maine Humanities Council. Seating is limited, so please RSVP here.

And finally, our summer reading program will be in full swing here with crafts, storytime, and other activities. So mark your calendars, and we look forward to seeing you.
