Art To-Go: Art Journaling

Art To-Go: Art Journaling

–Have you ever thought about keeping a journal? Not the kind you write your thoughts and feelings in, but an “art journal.” You’ll learn how to document your days with basic drawing, painting, and pasting. Join me and I’ll show how I create a journal that’s personal and meaningful. Please bring: a permanent fine tip black pen, some double-sided tape or glue stick, a blank journal, and any personal papers or photos you’d like to include. I’ll bring some basic art supplies to share, no expensive art supplies needed. *I will have some high-quality journals and fine-tip pens available for purchase if you don’t have these, or would like to upgrade your supplies.–

Please join local artist Kim Dubay for a workshop here August 10th 9:00-noon. Want to try it before the workshop? Pick up one of our To-Go kits, available to bring home. Ask at the Main Circulation Desk for more information.

Art To-Go: SoulCollage®

Art To-Go: SoulCollage®

–SoulCollage® is a surprisingly joyful and satisfying process of creative self-discovery for all.  No background in art or specific artistic talent is required. If you know how to use scissors and glue you will succeed in this workshop.  All collage images and materials will be provided by the facilitator. You will be introduced to the basic process of SoulCollage® card making and then be encouraged to rip, snip and paste recycled magazine images onto 5 X 8 inch cards.  You will make several meaningful cards to take home with you. You will be amazed by what you create! Your cards will beautifully reflect your individuality and showcase your innate wisdom. The experience of creating SoulCollage® cards is empowering and transformative.  Just bring your scissors and yourself!–
