UMaine Extension Food Preservation Webinar – October Topics

October is the home stretch for preserving Maine foods. Four new food preservation webinars from UMaine Extension staff will help you put up these fall foods with safety and flavor in mind. Learn from the experts in these 45-minute sessions. The new topics for October are:

October 6 – Winter Storage

October 13 – Storing Maine Grains and Repackaging Bulk Items

October 20 – Pressure Canning Meats

October 27 – Preserving Cranberries

Registration is required; a $5 donation per session is optional. If you have a Bridgton Public Library card, please just bring in or email your registration to the Library and we will make the donation on your behalf!

Book Shed Donations 10/3

The Friends of the Bridgton Public Library are excited to accept donated books at the Book Shed on Saturday, October 3rd, 9-noon. Bring us all of your treasures, and we will find good homes for your used books! Please, books only at this time, and if you can pack them in boxes to drop off that makes it easier to stack in our small space!

We ask for social distancing and face masks and look forward to seeing you soon.
