Hands On Learning

Hands On Learning

This year will be a different kind of school year for everyone. For those whose kids are home more, there are some great resources for keeping kids of all ages busy and learning by doing. Miss Samantha is doing a fantastic job here of getting resources up on our website and putting together activity bags for you to do at home. Here are just a few online videos, workshops, and communities to explore:

Check our Homeschool Resources for more information.  And please remember we also have Interlibrary Loan service, home delivery service, and no-contact book drop services available for our community. Stay well and busy!

Make It Your Own…

Make It Your Own…

While we are not able to offer our traditional programs in the meeting room this fall, we would like to help you gather and create in different ways. And so we have gathered together some online resources for you to help you get inspired, get involved, learn something new, and part of a different kind of community.

The UMaine Cooperative Extension has put together an awesome lineup of online workshops, with a suggested donation of $5 per session. Here are the links:

Preserve the Harvest

Root Cellaring

Can’t make a donation? That’s okay. If you email us your registration confirmation and you are a Bridgton Public Library patron we will make the donation on your behalf.

We are looking into virtual MakerSpace, music, and writing communities and will keep you posted as we find free and low-cost options and make arrangements for discounted rates!
