Practice Using Zoom

Practice Using Zoom

This is a chance for anyone who would like to try Zoom. As we move to the next phase of this health emergency, it is very important to us here at the Bridgton Public Library that people stay connected to each other and feel as comfortable as possible using new technologies and resources.

We know that many of you are either thinking about or are using Zoom or similar tools to stay in touch with families and friends. In the upcoming months, the Bridgton Public Library will be offering Zoom for different programs and book discussion groups. Our Friends and Trustees will be using this to meet, as well.

You can join by computer, iPad/tablet, smartphone, or touch-tone phone and learn more about using this new virtual tool. Please contact me at bpldirector@bridgton.lib.me.us for an email invitation with the connection information.

So join us Tuesdays, 10-11 am and pre-register so I can get in touch with you if you are having problems connecting; I’ll talk you through the steps.

Checking in and Checking out Items

Checking in and Checking out Items

We are very lucky here, in many ways. Today we are grateful that we have a book drop that goes both out and in, and a window right above it. We are able to offer check-in service through our book drop without any personal contact. We clean each item we receive back and remind you to clean all items when you return to your home as the safest practice.

Please use our online Holds and Purchase Suggestions. If you don’t remember your username and password, please give us a call or send an email and we will get you set up.

cloudLibrary has thousands of titles available, and Maine State Library has added more titles in the past few weeks to meet the increased demand.

All items that have been checked out will be renewed until April 30th. We never have overdue fines, and you may keep your items longer by renewing them, unless there is a hold on the item by another patron. You can renew items online, by phone, or by email.

If you are interested in a Home Delivery option, please contact us and we can arrange to mail items to you in accordance with all safety guidelines established by the CDC and Maine CDC.
