We are really excited to showcase some of our young readers and their book reviews. We will be including ones from our Summer Reading Program from 2020 and from our Winter Read 2021. Today we have Nova, Scout, and Milo…

Anansi and the Moss-Covered Rock by Eric A. Kimmel. I like that the deer was watching Anansi do tricks. The deer had an idea to do those same tricks on him. It was funny. –Nova (age 7)

Swimmer by Shelly Gill. I like this book because it explains the life cycle of the salmon. I love the pictures of this books also. I like the words they use. – Scout (age 6)

Spy School Goes South by Stuart Gibbs. very good I recommend this book to all readers who like adventure. –Milo (age 8)

Thinking Ahead to Better Days

Okay, so the weather outside right now is definitely winter… but spring and summer will eventually be here. The Bridgton 4 on the Fourth Road Race Committee has been working hard to plan ahead for this local, awesome, annual event. Summer just would not be summer without this town-wide event held every year on the Fourth of July.

This race raises money for the Library and other local nonprofits. There is a Kids Run as well as the regular 4-mile course. What I love most about this event is that there are the people who run hard, the people who run, and then the people who just want to get outside and support their local community and be part of something really great and fun. It really is the best time you can have, and we hope to see you on July 4th, 2021!
