Holiday Giving

Holiday Giving

As 2020 comes to a close, we would like to take this time to thank you for your support during this most unusual year.  While we are adapting to COVID 19 in our daily lives, we continue to work diligently and creatively to meet the needs of our patrons and the community. Your giving will have real impact in our community. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, almost 25% of our operating expenses come from individual donors. These funds help us provide:

  • Access to over 28,840 print, audio, and DVD titles
  • Access to 12,524 downloadable audio and e-books through statewide cloudLibrary
  • High speed internet access from public use computers, including 24/7 Wi-Fi available in our building and courtyard area
  • Hands-on workshops and activity bags to-go free of charge

Welcome Winter Activities

We have some wonderful To-Go bags this month to grab and go. If you are putting items on hold, or using no-contact pickup, just let us know which ones you want and we’ll hand them out to you!

While we are not able to offer our traditional programs in the meeting room this fall, we would like to help you gather and create in different ways. And so we have gathered together some online resources for you to help you get inspired, get involved, learn something new, and part of a different kind of community.

The UMaine Cooperative Extension has put together an awesome lineup of online workshops, with a suggested donation of $5 per session. Can’t make a donation? That’s okay, we’ll make one on your behalf. We will make a donation for any patron who brings in or emails a copy of your program registration.
