February 2022 at BPL

We continue to keep our building open to the public while also offering no-contact services by request. Please let us know if you would like your items packaged for pick up or if you would like to have items mailed to your home. We request masks be worn in our building and that you limit your visit to 30 minutes to minimize risk. Please call (207-647-2472) for more information.

February is a positive time with some wonderful celebrations, slightly longer days, and slightly warmer temperatures. We invite you to explore some new hobbies and ideas while you wait for the thaw!  Being active and keeping your mind engaged have great benefits to quality of life, and we are here to support your lifelong learning.

While we are not currently gathering groups of children together, we are expanding our drop-in workshops for creating and continuing our literacy-building resources for parents and caregivers to bring home.

You will no longer need to sign up for the Lego Master Builder. We will divide up the legos into bins for parents to request as they come into the library for up to 30 minutes per visit.

We are also excited to add a drop-in workshop Friday mornings for children’s knitting. Alicia will be available to help you make your own knitting needles, teach you how to read a pattern, and offer pointers to improve your handmade creations. All ages welcome.

Getting ready for the next steps in life? Find out more about what careers are out there, what training you need, what kind of work environment you’d like, and what kind of financial support might be available. We have a collection of resources on display in our Resource Room; come on in and check it out. Need access to a computer or wi-fi? We have public access computers, work cubicles, and a meeting room available.

Stay safe and well. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Sincerely,

Amy Stone
