February News

The Bridgton Public Library is very fortunate to be part of such an active, thoughtful, and engaged community. Early Childhood Literacy is an area where several groups collaborating together can do great things. The Friends of Bridgton Public Library have generously supported our work with a $5,650 investment in 1,500 books to go to the homes of children. Families can stop by the Library for more information on the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Program. We will also be able to distribute Pre-K Summer Reading Kits that include 14 books each to the first 30 families who sign up for our Summer Reading Program.

Snowshoes are available here for one-week checkout thanks to the generosity of Loon Echo Land Trust. While we wait for snow, you can also try out our new Outdoor Adventure packs that include information about birds, trees, and rocks, also available for one-week checkout. We would love for you to get outside and enjoy the winter days.

We can help you sign up for an online workshop through the National Digital Equity Center. Need help with finding an affordable computer? We can help you sign up for available programs today. Looking for something to do with your little ones?  Join us on Fridays for Storytime here at the Library from 10-11 am. We will have a story, a craft, and a snack to share. Our staff is happy to help caregivers and kids with their activities. Please note there is NO STORYTIME Friday, February 16th.

And we always have Legos, coloring pages, activity kits, and opportunities to play and explore in our youth services area. Cuddle up in a bean bag with a book, do a puzzle, and enjoy our space.
