This Week at the Children’s Craft Table

Fall Craft Time at Bridgton Public Library! 🍁

As the leaves turn and the air grows chilly for the wintery days ahead, we’re celebrating the creativity and wonder of the season with our Children’s Fall Craft Table. This week, we’re featuring Acorn People—a delightful hands-on craft that invites children to look closely at the natural world and imagine what stories it might tell.

Using simple materials gathered from nature—acorns, twigs, pinecones, moss, and more—kids can build their own tiny woodland characters. This open-ended craft encourages creative expression, fine motor skills, and a sense of connection to the outdoors. Each Acorn Person has its own personality, shape, and style, making this a fun activity for children of all ages (and their grown-ups, too!).

Our craft table is set up for drop-in exploration during all open hours, and no registration is required. All supplies are provided—we just invite you to bring your imagination and your support person.

Craft Available Through: November 8th
Location: Children’s Room Craft Table
All ages welcome — families encouraged to create together!

We hope you’ll stop by, get creative, and make a new acorn friend to take home!

A few quick reminders:
• We can’t accept books stored in damp basements or garages
• No moldy, stained, or damaged books, please
• We’re unable to take dictionaries, encyclopedias, textbooks, or VHS tapes
