A 21st century community resource
Interested in writing? We have several options available. Every 2nd and 4th Friday there is a writer’s group that is just starting up. On Friday 4/8 we welcome Chuck Garabedian; Chuck is writing his first novel, and he will discuss his experience in this endeavor with us.
We also have an open Writer’s Cafe on Saturday afternoons in the Main Reading Room 1:30-2:30 for aspiring writers and novelists of all ages. We have writing prompts and supportive feedback for all ages.
To celebrate Earth Day all month we have some great To-Go bags all set for you to take home. Kids STEAM is Place of Belonging, which will include information on native, non-native, and naturalized species and get you outside to look at the world around you. The Adult To-Go bag is Wildflower Seed Strips, get ready to plant something beautiful!
And we will be holding our annual May Basket Workshop on Saturday, April 30th. Jane, Racheal, and Alicia will all be there to help you arrange some fresh flowers into little baskets for you to leave on a doorstep, or take home to enjoy.
