Interlibrary Middle School Book Group

Interlibrary Middle School Book Group

Please join us for this interlibrary middle school book club! We will cover age-appropriate experiences from a diverse list of authors. Themes include exploring sense of self, family, friendships, microaggressions, belonging, mental health, LGBTQ+ identity and more.

This is a safe space for middle schoolers and allies to explore and discuss our book list.  The group will meet twice a month on WEDNESDAYS, and the meeting will be hosted by a different local library each month to hopefully make it more accessible to more area youth.

Please join us for the initial meet & greet Wednesday, September 28th from 3:00-4:00 pm, before the first book discussion group meets in October at the Harrison Village Library. Please contact them for more information: (207) 583-2970

Bring Your Backyard to BPL

Bring Your Backyard to BPL

We’re inviting kids of all ages to be explorers and share their finds with our field Specimen Touch Table here in Youth Services. Gather a perfect leaf or some beautiful rocks and bring them in to the library starting Wednesday, September 21st. We’ll take a look at what is the same and what is different from your yards.

No animals, please. We want to make sure we are good stewards and don’t remove creatures from their homes.
