Spring is here

Well, today is a lovely day, and we are definitely ready. We have some great things planned for the next few months here at the Bridgton Public Library, especially in Youth Services.

Youth Services is getting a spring cleaning and a little makeover in April. We will be replacing the carpet in Youth Services, which we’ve been looking forward to for a long time. We will keep you posted if we need to close Youth Services while we move all of the collections, shelves, and furniture around. When we’re done, though, we will be adding back in some of our special items as COVID 19 guidelines are updated.

And up ahead we will be adding a Master Lego Builder program starting in May (as long as the carpet project has been completed!) The Master Lego Builder will have a lot of Legos, and a special Work Zone here in a Youth Services cubicle for one hour to create whatever they can come up with. After each session, the Library staff will clean all of the Legos and the Legos will be quarantined for at least one week, until the next Master Builder. We know that schedules can be a little crazy, so the Master Builder of the week can choose either Wednesday afternoon or Saturday morning to come in. Sign up here through our online form: Lego Master Builder You can also call (207-647-2472) or email (bplreference@bridgton.lib.me.us) to sign up your Master Builder. It will be one per week, based on the order of signup.

Happy Spring!
