Preptober Week 2: Developing a Story

Preptober Week 2: Developing a Story

This week we are working on developing a story to write for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). If you’re not sure what to write you can adopt a plot to help another writer finish a story. Write a short story or a collection of them or even try a different genre like poetry or a cook book. For more help and resources stop by the Bridgton Public Library or contact us at bplreference@bridgton.lib.me.us or call at 207-647-2472.

Preptober Week 1: Getting to Know Your Characters

Preptober Week 1: Getting to Know Your Characters

For the first week of Preptober you can spend time getting your characters ready.  It can be easier to fill in your world and story if you already have a few inhabitants.  Get to know your hero, villain, and side characters by having an interview.  Check in with a librarian for a copy of a character interview sheet or email us at bplreference@bridgton.lib.me.us for a digital copy.  Stay tuned for the rest of October and November for more news and resources about Preptober and National Novel Writing Month.
