Welcome July!
We are excited for summer reading! This year’s theme is Level Up at Your Library, and we have something for all ages. Check either circulation desk for reading logs and raffle prizes. We will also be honoring any reading log from our local schools, no need to keep two. Thank you to the Friends of the Bridgton Library for their generous support.
And please join us for the Friends of Bridgton Library Annual Book Sale on Saturday, July 19th from 9:00-2:00 at the Book Shed. Get some beautiful books at bargain prices. Rain date is Sunday, July 20th.

Storywalks are back in Pondicherry Park, located on the ADA-accessible trail. Currently, At One: In a Place Called Maine by Lynn Plourde is on display. Later in the summer we will have Over and Under the Pond by Kate Messner, illustrated by Christopher Silas Neal.
Loon Echo Land Trust is a wonderful partner organization for the library. Not only do they help us install and maintain the Storywalk in Pondicherry Park, they also provided funding to update our Audubon Explorer Backpacks. Check out these sturdy backpacks full of information on nature topics for the whole family. Learn more about Birds, Plants, Wildlife, and Rocks and Gems. Perfect for any trail, or your own back yard.

The Bridgton Public Library is a part of the Chickadee Library Consortium including the Harrison, Naples, Casco, and Raymond libraries. We share our resources and collections to support all of the communities we serve. At least one of these libraries is open each day of the week, and a library card from any of these five libraries will grant you access to the collections of the entire consortium.

We have free or discounted entry passes available for The Children’s Museum, The Southworth Planetarium, Rufus Porter Museum, and The Portland Museum of Art to check out. Stop by the Main Circulation Desk for more information and to check out a pass. The Chickadee Library Consortium also has passes to Maine State Parks, the Coastal Botanical Gardens, and other attractions.
We look forward to seeing you at the library!
Sincerely,
Bridgton Public Library Staff
