Getting connected

Getting connected

More and more of everyday life is happening through the Internet: job applications, government benefit applications, health appointments, classes, and work. If you or someone you know cannot get an Internet connection through a cable or fiber provider, please let us know! The library staff is here to help you get the information submitted so that we can all work together to get all homes access! This needs to be submitted by January 13, 2023 for the biggest impact!

And we are here to help you get comfortable with using computers and the Internet safely. We will be offering classes through the National Digital Equity Center starting in 2023. Learn more about what they do and what kind of classes they offer here:  Maine NDEC

Enjoy the holidays, and help us get you connected in the New Year!

We are always thinking of ways we can be better community members, and have decided we can try to reduce the plastics we are adding to the local transfer station. For one month we will not add any plastic covers or laminates to our new books. We hope the books can withstand the heavier use of circulating library materials, and we’ll keep you posted.

In the meantime, please be gentle with the books, particularly when putting them in the book drop!
