Ways to Grow

The Library offers so many ways to learn and grow, please come take advantage of some of our wonderful items available for checkout. We have seeds to start, cooking tools to create wonderful meals, activity kits for kids and families to explore new ideas, museum passes for checkout, and of course some amazing books to challenge and entertain.

If you like using your phone, tablet, or laptop for your reading, cloudLibrary is a service provided free of charge to our patrons, with thousands of titles available in ebook and audiobook format. We offer assistance on setting up your device with your account during our Technology Help every Tuesday 10:30-noon.

If you like a good old-fashioned read we have a selection of Bestsellers and Award-winning books in Youth Services and in our Main Collection to suit your tastes.  And if you love to talk about the books you read, we have many book clubs including Teen Fantasy Book ClubNonfiction Book Club, Literary Club, Book Bags, and Bookies  that read a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction. Please check our online calendar:

We have set up Purchase Suggestions through our online catalog, so if you have a book you would like to recommend please do. If you would rather call or stop by and talk with someone, we will put in the request for you. If you put in a suggestion, we put a Hold on it and give you a call when we receive it.

We can put in an Interlibrary Loan request at no charge to you. We request the book from another library, and give you a call when it’s ready for pickup.

We are planning our spring activities; look for more programs and presentations in April.

Spotlight On: Bridgton Historical Society

Spotlight On: Bridgton Historical Society

We are very lucky to have a thriving Bridgton Historical Society. Each community has its own story to tell, and the Town of Bridgton has a unique and interesting past that can help us think about our future.

We are pleased to announce a joint venture, making some of the Society’s many resources available for viewing here at the Bridgton Public Library. This carefully curated rotating collection of books and items of interest will be available for the public to view in the Library Resource Room, opening March 1st. This rotating collection will be changed throughout the year, offering new resources for our community to view here at the Library.

We hope to see you soon.

And please, if you have a minute, complete the survey being sponsored by the Bridgton Historical Society, to help them plan for their future.
