Thank you, Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance for your time and thought in helping us put together a wonderful benefit for Bridgton Public Library patrons. We are able to offer up to 5 patrons membership rates (50% discount) for 2 workshops each. Their online choices are amazing, including Time Travel in Memoir, The Voice of the People (for young adult & middle grade authors), Inhabiting Interiors: The Making of Persona Poems, and Stand Out in an Agent’s Slush Pile.

Especially during the pandemic, we know many people are trying their hand at writing down their thoughts and stories. Here are some great ways to shape your writing and hone your craft for the veteran writers in our community.

UMaine Extension Food Preservation Webinar – October Topics

October is the home stretch for preserving Maine foods. Four new food preservation webinars from UMaine Extension staff will help you put up these fall foods with safety and flavor in mind. Learn from the experts in these 45-minute sessions. The new topics for October are:

October 6 – Winter Storage

October 13 – Storing Maine Grains and Repackaging Bulk Items

October 20 – Pressure Canning Meats

October 27 – Preserving Cranberries

Registration is required; a $5 donation per session is optional. If you have a Bridgton Public Library card, please just bring in or email your registration to the Library and we will make the donation on your behalf!
