Projects for Families On the Go

Projects for Families On the Go

Miss Samantha in Youth Services is so awesome; she has designed some clever To Go bags with projects you can do at home with your kids (or grandchildren…)

This month we have a Volcano Kit and a December Holidays Kit. We ask that each kid take one bag of each kind only, to make sure there are enough to go around. Just check in at the Youth Services Circulation Desk (downstairs).

Enjoy!

Year in Review

Year in Review

We have had such a wonderful year serving our community here at the Bridgton Public Library! I would like to thank all who  participated in our surveys through 2018, your thoughts and input have really guided our priorities and improved our services.

We provide access to information, education, and recreation resources. Our programs provide hands-on learning experiences for kids, families, and adults. We have added activity kits, cooking tools, and education resources for anyone to check out, take home, and explore. And of course we have books, audiobooks, e-books, and magazines for checkout as well.

And our community support is inspiring. We had over 45 regular volunteers through the year providing board leadership and guidance, programs, desk service, and collection maintenance. We had 372 items added to our collection that were donated and $2,000.00 in our cash donation boxes.

We have three large fundraisers through the year that provide 40% of our annual operating expenses. Thank you for keeping the lights and heat on, our desks staffed, the computers online, and the new print materials available to our community. We are able to serve you because of what people give.

Thank you for all you have given!

I am proud of our beautiful building, our wonderful staff, and our growing and diverse collections. Please enjoy the winter holiday season and visit us in the new year.

Sincerely,

Amy Stone
