We will be hosting several workshops through the month of August to make sure parents and caregivers have the tools and resources they need!
Friday, August 5th, 11:00-noon
FAME and Alfond Scholarships for Kids: This information session is for parents and caregivers interested in setting up college savings accounts with FAME (Finance Authority of Maine) and applying for Alfond Scholarships. All children born in Maine are eligible to apply, and this session is a great place to get more information!
Wednesday, August 10th, 2:00-3:00 pm
Autism and Strategies: This presentation from the Autism Society of Maine will provide participants with a basic understanding of Autism along with various strategies one can employ to support behavioral, social, communication, sensory and educational deficits. This presentation also includes a segment on safety and is appropriate for any caregiver.

HOME Portfolio Overview for Homeschoolers: Maine law requires homeschoolers who have filed letters of intent to homeschool to submit the results of assessments, annually, to their local superintendent’s office at the end of each school year, no later than September 1. Get ahead for next school year with this workshop from Homeschoolers of Maine that will go through the requirements, formats, and options available for your family.
